Leader of the Nation concluded the state visit to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and began a state visit to the Republic of India
DUSHANBE, 16.12.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. Today, the state visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has concluded with successful results for the development of friendship relations and cooperation.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon within the framework of his state visit has met with top leadership, senior representatives, entrepreneurs, investors and heads of companies of Sri Lanka.
Following the results of top level talks, the Joint Statement on strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka was adopted, as well as 5 new cooperation documents were signed.
At the Colombo International Airport, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon was sincerely seen off by the senior representatives of the Government of Sri Lanka.

At the New Delhi International Airport, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon was sincerely welcomed by the top leadership of this friendly country.
As part of this visit, the holding of top level talks between Tajikistan and India, meetings and talks of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon with the top leadership of India in a narrow format, the signing of new cooperation documents, as well as other events of interstate significance are expected.
