Tajikistan and ADB representatives discussed the implementation of investment construction projects
DUSHANBE, 12.01.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan have met with representative of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) — coordinator of the Asia Pacific management for preparation of projects Joseph Lim on January 10 in Dushanbe.
According to the Economy Ministry, during the meeting the representatives of the Ministry expressed satisfaction with the effective cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Asian Development Bank.
“The investment project for the construction of the railway from the station “Spitamen” to the free economic zone “Sughd” was also discussed”, — it was said in the ministry’s message.
It was reportedly noted that the implementation of this project will give a positive impulse to the development of not only the subjects of the free economic zone “Sughd” but also to the private sector of Sughd region as a whole.
Joseph Lim expressed readiness to implement a feasibility study of the project for the construction of the railway road from the railway station “Spitamen” to the free economic zone “Sughd”.
The parties expressed confidence in further development of cooperation in the sphere of free economic zones within the mechanism of public-private partnerships.
