Tajikistan and Azerbaijan expand parliamentary ties
DUSHANBE, 07.02.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The expansion of parliamentary cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan was discussed by Olim Salimzoda, chairman of the Committee of Majlisi namoyandagon on International Affairs, Public Associations and Information and Abbasali Karom oglu Gasanov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Tajikistan, Parliament’s press centre reports.
It was noted that the Parliament of Tajikistan pays special attention to the development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields. The friendly values and common culture of the ancient times link the peoples of the two countries. In particular, after the achieving of independence good relations are developing between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
The two parties noted that the visits of heads of the two countries, Emomali Rahmon and Ilham Aliyev, to each other’s countries and meetings of high-level delegations of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan became the factor of the creation of favorable conditions for the development of mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
Following the meeting the interlocutors emphasized that there are favorable foundations for the expansion of relations between the two countries in various fields and these opportunities will be directed for the benefit of Dushanbe and Baku.
