Navruz holiday celebrated at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris
DUSHANBE, 29.03.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. In order to internationally popularize the ancient spring holiday, the embassies of Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan and India, held an official reception on the occasion of the International holiday Navruz on March 27, 2017, at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, Embassy of Tajikistan in France reports.
According to the embassy’s message, the diplomatic corps, residents and guests of the French capital were invited to the celebration. The invitees had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with and taste the festive cuisine of the Navruz celebrating countries, as well as enjoy a beautiful concert program and watch videos about the traditions of Navruz in different countries.
In addition, the Embassy of Tajikistan designed a traditional national holiday table, decorated with elements of Haftsin and Haftshin, which symbolize abundance and fertility.
