The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon attended solemn event in honor of Victory Day in Dushanbe’s Victory Park.

The President of our country Emomali Rahmon was welcomed by the Chairman of Dushanbe city Rustami Emomali.

Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General, Sherali Mirzo reported to the Leader of the Nation, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the readiness of military troops on the occasion of solemn march in Victory Day.

After the performance of the national anthem, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon addressed before audience and congratulated the officers, soldiers, veterans of war and labor, as well as all compatriots on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of
victory over fascism.

After his address the Leader of the Nation, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon laid a wreath at the eternal flame to honor the officers and soldiers who gave their lives for freedom.

A minute of silence was declared in memory of the victims of the war.

In honor of Victory Day wreaths were also laid on behalf of Majlisi Milli and Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the executive body of state authority of the city of Dushanbe, the Ministry of Defense and other power structures as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Dushanbe, the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan,  the 201st Military Base of Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The solemn event in honor of the Victory Day in the Victory Park ended with military march.
