Tajikistan, ADB intend to implement a number of joint projects
DUSHANBE, 21.06.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The issues of economic cooperation in the fields of energy, industry, agriculture, transport, banking, education, healthcare and tourism were discussed at the meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Nematullo Hikmatullozoda and the delegation of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank.
According to the press center of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, the parties have discussed the goals and priorities of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 and the Medium-term Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2016-2020.
It is reported that the main strategic goals of the Government of Tajikistan, such as ensuring energy security and efficient use of energy, breaking the communication deadlock and turning the country into a transit country, ensuring food security and people’s access to quality nutrition, as well as expanding productive employment were also discussed.
The parties have expressed confidence that through joint efforts will succeed in implementing bilateral joint projects of Tajikistan and the Asian Development Bank.
