Davlatali Said, First Deputy PM: “Tajikistan supports constructive and impartial initiatives on the way of strengthening beneficial cooperation”
DUSHANBE, 04.07.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. “The Republic of Tajikistan as an active and integral member of the international community supports the development of good-neighborly, regional and international relations, and welcomes all creative and impartial initiatives in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation”, — it was stated by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Davlatali Said at the Dushanbe CAMCA Regional Forum (Central Asia, Mongolia, the Caucasus and Afghanistan), which was held for two days under the title “The development of regional cooperation” with the participation of representatives of 15 countries of the world.
It was noted that holding of regional forum in Dushanbe creates adequate opportunity to discuss important issues, such as economic, cultural and security related to the basin of countries of Central Asia, the Caucasus, Mongolia and Afghanistan. First Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the Republic of Tajikistan under the leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, having achieved State Independence, became an independent, stable and sustainable state.
As a result of right policy implementation poverty has been reduced from 80 percent to 25 percent in the country. It was noted that in Tajikistan was adopted “The National Development Strategy for the period up to 2030”, which aims to build a technocratic model and worthy governance in the country as well as to define driving directions for the development of Tajikistan’s economy.
It was noted that within the framework of regional and international cooperation for the restoration and development of Afghanistan, 17 infrastructure projects have been proposed, the implementation of which seriously affects the development of Afghanistan. One of these projects is the CASA-1000. In the process of regional and international cooperation of our country, Russia, U.S., China, UN, the European Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are the permanent partners of Tajikistan, and have an expanded cooperation on the important issues, as social problems solution, strengthening civil society and democratic institutions, investment for the development of Tajikistan, boosting national and regional security, the fight against terrorism and extremism. Davlatali Said has positively assessed the holding of CAMCA Regional Forum in Dushanbe.
It should be noted that CAMCA Regional Forum, which was established by the Rumsfeld Foundation, brought together representatives, politics, scientists and experts in various fields of research institutions of the 10 countries — Central Asia, Mongolia, the Caucasus and Afghanistan. The most important issues related to the development and prospects of CAMCA basin countries, such as economic development, attraction of investments, energy, communications, tourism, as well as the issues that render risk to the security of the region, such as terrorism, extremism, illegal drug trafficking and other negative phenomena of the modern world were discussed at the meeting, and interesting and constructive suggestions to address existing problems in the region were stated.
It should be noted that CAMCA Regional Forum 2016 was held in Tbilisi, Georgia.
