National Development Strategy of Tajikistan presented in Hamburg
DUSHANBE, 04.07.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. As part of celebrating the 20th anniversary of National Unity Day, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Germany and Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Federal state of Hamburg hosted an event entitled “National Unity is the basis of national development of Tajikistan”. The event was attended by representatives of political, economic and cultural circles, members of the German Bundestag, compatriots, students and members of the Tajik-German friendship society.
According to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Germany, addressing the audience, Ambassador of Tajikistan in Germany Maliksho Nematov highly appreciated the contribution of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the achievement of national unity and social accord in the country. It was noted that due to the peacekeeping policy of the Leader of the Nation medium-term and long-term programs for sustainable development were adopted, and their phased implementation began. Then there was held a presentation of the main points of the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan for 2016-2030, where it was noted the readiness of the Government of Germany — an important partner of Tajikistan in Europe — to promote the implementation of the National Development Strategy points.
A member of the German Bundestag Jürgen Klimke made a speech at the event and told about his impressions from the trip to Tajikistan in June of this year. He said that the Republic of Tajikistan in recent years has made significant achievements in all sectors, has huge economic potential and opportunities, and called upon representatives of economic and investment circles to establish cooperation with Tajikistan.
