Tajikistan Permanent Representative to the UN attended the Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Development
DUSHANBE, 07.07.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On July 6, the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov participated and addressed the Forum on Sustainable Agricultural Development, which was held at the initiative of the United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs in New York, according to the Permanent Representation of Tajikistan to the United Nations.
It is reported that the Permanent Representative highlighted the main challenges that many countries, as well as Tajikistan face in enhancing their agricultural productivity and transforming their agriculture for a sustainable future. He also touched upon the importance of recently adopted National Development Strategy-2030 and Mid-term Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2020 for implementing the 2030 Agenda in the national context of Tajikistan.
Ambassador Mahmadaminov also noted that the existing strategic development goals of the Government of Tajikistan for the next 15 years have been fully aligned with the SDGs.
