Head of State Emomali Rahmon met with the Chairman of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang
DUSHANBE, 31.08.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon met with the Chairman of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang.
The sides had an exchange of views on the state and prospects of intergovernmental cooperation between Tajikistan and China, named the spheres of economy and trade, roads and transport, mining and metallurgy industry, finance and banking system, agriculture, security, culture, education and tourism among promising and beneficial areas of cooperation.
With satisfaction of the process of development and increasing expansion of cooperation in these areas, the parties stated that the use of unoccupied opportunities and resources in this direction and within the framework of the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economy and Trade between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China can serve the interests of both sides.
There were expressed constructive proposals for the active participation of the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China in the implementation of small and large regional projects for the construction of railways and gas pipelines, the project of the construction of power transmission lines, construction and reconstruction of various infrastructure facilities.
The sides also had an exchange of views on issues related to cooperation in the fields of hydropower, the construction of medium-sized hydroelectric power stations, the reconstruction of roads connecting two countries, the creation of joint industrial and technological parks, the construction of enterprises for the production of chemical and construction products, metal processing and mining minerals plants, establishment of export of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as dried fruits of Tajikistan in China, strengthening of financial and credit cooperation, production of pharmaceutical products, and improving tourism infrastructure in our country.
The meeting also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
