On August 31, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Tajikistan Elizabeth Millard will depart Tajikistan to assume a senior position in the State Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. It was stated in the statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan.
“While she is honored to be named to such a high-ranking position, Ambassador Millard is very sad to be leaving Tajikistan. Over the last year and a half, she has enjoyed Tajikistan’s breathtaking natural beauty, its rich culture and language, and especially the unforgettable hospitality of its people”, — says the statement.
