The chairmanship of the CIS Interstate Council on Industrial Safety is entrusted to the Republic of Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 16.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On September 14, the 15th meeting of the Interstate Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States on industrial safety took place in Guliston city, Sughd province.
According to the head of the general department of the Service for State Supervision of Safe Work in Industry and Mining Supervision under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Mehrafzun Davlatzoda, the meetingwas attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim, Chairman of the Sughd province Abdurahmon Qodiri and representatives of the CIS member states. First Deputy Prime Minister of the country Azim Ibrohim welcomed the guests on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and stated that for the period of independence with the development of the branches of the national economy the broad conditions and opportunities for achieving greater progress were created in Tajikistan. In this regard, he mentioned the construction of a number of important facilities in the spheres of energy, industry, mining, automobile tunnels and roads, which were implemented by the direct initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
According to the source, the meeting discussed issues related to industrial safety, as well as the Council members made proposals to improve the legislation of the industrial safety sphere in the Council member states.
It should be noted that during the year the Chairmanship of the CIS Interstate Council on Industrial Safety was entrusted to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. At the 15th meeting, by decision of the Council members, the Chairmanship of the CIS Interstate Council on Industrial Safety was transferred to the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the work of the meeting, a Memorandum between the Service for State Supervision of Safe Work in Industry and Mining Supervision under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Federal Service of the Russian Federation for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision on cooperation in the field of industrial safety regulation was also signed. This document allows specialists of both state institutions to exchange experience and systematically address issues related to the field.
Following the meeting, representatives of the CIS countries visited the historical sites of Khujand city.
