Meeting of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon with the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori
DUSHANBE, 16.10.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori.
It was recognized that Tajikistan considers the UAE as its reliable partner, and the growth of bilateral ties over the past year has fully developed.
The head of state Emomali Rahmon appreciated UAE’s support for mitigation of effects of natural disasters in Tajikistan and pointed out that Tajikistan is interested in further expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation with the UAE.
The two sides also exchanged views on intensification of works of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic and Technical Cooperation, the Joint Investment Fund and the Tajikistan-UAE Commerce Council as well as opening of representative office of one of UAE banks in Tajikistan.
The two sides reiterated their commitment to further expand bilateral cooperation, like hydropower, mining, transportation, agriculture, and tourism and creating a joint venture company.
The interlocutors also touched upon a number of other important issues being of mutual interest.
