DUSHANBE, 18.11.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon visited Sughd Province, which is hosting the 25th anniversary of the historic XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan.

We recall that the Arbob Cultural Palace opened its doors on November 16 for historic XVI session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan and concluded its work on December 2, on that the wise politician Emomali Rahmon was elected the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Tajikistan with firm will of the Supreme Council deputies.

In fact the XVI session laid a solid foundation for strengthening statehood and genuine independence of Tajikistan, its sovereignty, national unity and establishment of peace, the implementation of political, legal, socio-economic reforms towards the creation of civil society.

The leader of the Tajik nation Emomali Rahmon, regardless of the difficult political situation and civil war, acted as a courageous and brave politician given to him by the wisdom of the Tajik people, as a devoted son of the nation, showed selflessness in restoring paralyzed power authorities and its economy, ensuring peace and stability throughout the country.

Peace, progress and prosperity of independent Tajikistan are connected precisely with the name and exploits of this worthy son of the nation.

Ahead of the historic XVI Session, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon participated in the launch of the metallurgical enterprise of Tajikistan-China Mining Company worthwhile investment of $57 million. The ceremony was held during a visit to the city of Istiqlol, Sughd Province.

The capacity of the metallurgical plant will be 50,000 tons of lead per year. The plant provides 600 people with permanent jobs, and once its second phase is commissioned this number will increase.

It was informed that extraction and production of lead powder, zinc and copper will be carried out at the “Zarnisor” plant located in the city of Guliston, Sughd Province; thereby the new plant will produce the final products.

In addition, President Emomali Rahmon took part in the launch of the sewing workshop for sewing shoes of the State Agricultural Enterprise «Palos» of the Special Property Supply Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

According to the plan, these workshops will produce clothes for military and law enforcement agencies, footwear for soldiers and officers, as well as school uniforms.

After that the leader of the nation inaugurated a new presidential school for gifted children as part of his working trip to Khujand city.

Construction of this school which accommodates 2,600 pupils in one shift commenced in 2006 and more than 25 million somoni have been spent for construction of this school.
In the continuation of his working trip to Sughd Province, the leader of the nation Emomali rahmon opened a National Complex «Markazi oshi palav» (Centre of pilaf, a Tajik traditional meal).

President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, toured complex and highly appreciated entrepreneurs’ work. This complex was built with the purpose of developing national crafts and presenting national meals.

Following the inauguration of the National Complex «Markazi oshi palav», the holiday gifts were presented by the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to 160 orphan adolescents of Khujand in connection with historic XVI Session.

While on a working trip to the Buston city, the head of our state Emomali Rahmon toured hydroponic greenhouse for growing vegetables, participated in the launch of the workshops for production of glass-fiber semi-finished products and production of mineral slabs from basalt and learned about the tips of affordable housing.

Later, the President gave the command to launch the Pharm Sughd pharmaceutical preparations and medical materials Co., Ltd in Buston city.

In the continuation of his tour to Buston city, the leader of the nation Emomali Rahmon took part in the ceremony to implement rehabilitation and reconstruction projects for the drinking water supply network for 35 thousand people.

The leader of the nation, Emomali Rahmon, got familiarized with the implementation progress of the project and gave the command to official operation of the Buston water supply system.

As the President was informed, the restoration of this facility was carried out on the basis of a tripartite agreement between the State Unitary Enterprise of the housing and communal services of the Republic of Tajikistan, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and reconstruction of the water supply system in the cities of «Northern Tajikistan».

It was noted that for the implementation of the Buston water supply system project was spent 25 million 532 thousand somoni, out of which 13 million 293 thousand somoni are credits and the remaining 12 million 240 thousand somoni — grants.

In the third day of his trip to Sughd Province, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited “Sughd Pak” Co. Ltd., participated in the launch of the second phase of the Enterprise Manufacturing of polypropylene bags.

Construction of this enterprise commenced in August 2015 and more than 15 million somoni was spent for construction of this enterprise.

Production capacity of the enterprise is 30 million pieces of bags per year, and taking into account all the capacities of the enterprise it will reach 60 million pieces of bags per year. 200 local residents were provided with permanent jobs.
