Assistant to the President Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda elected Chairman of CIS Interstate Council for Humanitarian Cooperation
DUSHANBE, 15.12.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Assistant to the President for Social Development and Public relations Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda speaking at the CIS Intelligentsia forum dedicated to the theme of the role of humanitarian cooperation in strengthening family values and traditions in the CIS member countries.
The 12th CIS Forum of creative and scientific intelligentsia took place on December 11-12 in Moscow with the support of the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation.
In his address he touched upon importance of national laws and family values. In the concluding of the forum the participants discussed the issue of election of the Chairman of the Interstate Council for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states. The participants supported the proposal of the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee — CIS Executive Secretary Zhusupbekov on election of A. Rahmonzoda as the Chairman of this Council in 2018.
The forum sections have considered various aspects of professional cooperation: interaction in education and youth policy, and also the preparations for the forthcoming Year of Culture in the CIS. The CIS Capital of Culture 2018 was proclaimed Goris, Armenia.
The forum held also the awards ceremony for the winners of the CIS Stars of the Commonwealth Award. This year the award has been bestowed upon writer Ivan Saverchenko of Belarus, ballet master Yuri Grigorovich of Russia, composers Eugen Doga of Moldova and Tigran Mansurian of Armenia, artist Farhad Khalilov of Azerbaijan, mathematician Altay Borubayev of Kyrgyzstan, theater director Toleubek Alpiyev of Kazakhstan, and actor Ibodullo Mashrab of Tajiksitan.
The Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation was established at the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government in May 2006 in Dushanbe. The Statement of Heads of States on enhancement of cooperation in combating illicit traffic of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors was adopted at the initiative of Tajikistan in 2008.
Tajikistan actively supports the work of the Council for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member-states (hereinafter — CHS) and the Board of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member-states (hereinafter — IFHC). Two of thirteen joint meetings of CHS and IFHC Board were held in Dushanbe.
The proposal to declare 2008 the Year of Literature and Reading in the CIS was presented by the Republic of Tajikistan.
In the framework of the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of the founder of Tajik-Persian literature A. Rudaki, powered by the IFHC, the collection of the poet’s works was published in three languages and sent to the libraries of the CIS member-states. In addition, updated textbooks of the Russian language were printed for the schools of the CIS countries, including Tajikistan. Two volumes of the series of books called “Classical literature of the CIS”, powered by the IFHC, include Tajik literature.
