Head of State Emomali Rahmon participated in the festive meeting on the occasion of the National Security Agency Workers’ Day
DUSHANBE, 28.12.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon took part in a meeting marking National Security Agency Worker’s Day.The National Security Agency Worker’s Day is traditionally celebrated on December 28.
Addressing the meeting participants, the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon underlined the security staff’s role regarding ensuring peace and stability, protecting independence and its national interests and ensuring national security, and in this context, President expressed gratitude to loyal sons of our Motherland and to defenders of the country’s national security and territorial integrity in order to discharge their duties.
The Head of State expressed concern over the dire world situation, escalating terror attacks, and stressed that security agencies’ staff should focus primarily on vigilance and loyalty to the state and the nation.
The Leader of the Nation noted that “one of the most important issues facing the national security staff is to prevent uninformed youth from joining terrorist and extremist groups”. And, in this context, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon instructed the SCNS leadership to take all practical steps to return such people and provide them with permanent jobs.
Due to increase of terrorist attacks occurred in the world, the SCNS’ staff should also focus on fighting these unprecedented phenomena.
At today’s meeting, by the Executive Orders of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Mansurjon Umarov was awarded another rank of “lieutenant-general «, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Nusratullo Mirzoev — another rank of “major general» and the head of the SCNS office in Khatlon Province Shomuddin Sharifov — the next military rank of the “major-general”.
