Foreign Minister of Tajikistan met with his Kazakh counterpart and UN Under-Secretary-General for the UN Counter-Terrorism Office
DUSHANBE, 22.01.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On January 19, in New York, on the sidelines of the ministerial debate of the UN Security Council on Afghanistan and Central Asia, Sirodjidin Aslov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan met with Kairat Abdrakhmanov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Kazakhstan.
NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties had an exchange of views on the key issues of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, as well as the strengthening of multilateral cooperation of both countries in the framework of the United Nations.
Also, on this day, Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov met with the UN Under-Secretary-General for the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office Vladimir Voronkov in the UN Headquarters.
The meeting discussed the issues of cooperation of Tajikistan with the UN counter-terrorism structures, as well as the prospects of joint actions in this direction.
The parties have also discussed the forthcoming International Conference on combating terrorism and radicalism to be held in Dushanbe on May 2018.
