Moscow hosted the meeting of the Commission for Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council

DUSHANBE, 18.01.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The meeting of the Commission for Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council took place on January 17 in Moscow. It took place on the territory of the innovation center “Skolkovo”. The meeting was chaired by the plenipotentiary representative of Tajikistan in the Commission, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation Imomuddin Sattorov. He spoke in detail about the Concept of the Chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2018. It was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting was attended by plenipotentiary representatives of the Commonwealth states in the Commission, as well as employees of a number of interstate and intergovernmental bodies of the CIS and governing bodies of the Commonwealth states. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee — CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Ivanov.

The agenda included a number of issues of integration interaction in the sphere of economy.

In addition, the implementation of the Plan of priority actions for the implementation of the Concept of nuclear and radiation safety of the CIS member states in the sphere of using atomic energy for peaceful purposes was discussed.

The participants of the meeting were provided with the forecast of production, consumption, import and export of the most important products of the CIS countries for 2018.

The members of the Commission for Economic Affairs discussed the issue of awarding the Commonwealth of Independent States Prize in 2017 for achievements in the field of product and service quality.

After taking into account the comments made during the meeting, the draft documents will be submitted for consideration to the CIS Economic Council, meeting of which will be held on March 2 this year in Moscow.
