Tajikistan Ambassador to Japan visited Tokyo Electric Power Company
DUSHANBE, 30.04.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On April 26, 2018, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan Hamrokhon Zarifi visited the Tokyo Electric Power Company TEPCO’s headquarters, where held a meeting with the company’s management and got acquainted with the activities of this company.
According to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Japan, during the conversation representatives of TEPCO introduced the formation and current activities of the companyin more detail, and conducted a meaningful presentation about the history and development stages of the company.The Ambassador got acquainted with the process of generating and supply of electric power to consumers in the Kanto region, where located the capital and the largest city of Japan — Tokyo city.
As a part of the visit toTEPCO,Ambassador of Tajikistan also visited the Higashi-Uchisaiwaichosubstation,where he got familiarized withthe work of substation.
During the visit, the Ambassador of Tajikistan was accompanied by project managers of the Asia Engineering Consultant Co., Ltd, which is a consulting company in the project «Improvement of Substations in Dushanbe «, funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Under this project, on January 26, 2018, in Dushanbe between OSHC «Barki Tojik» and the Nishizawa Company signed a contract in the amount of 1.976 billion Japanese Yen. On the basis of this contract, Nishizawa Company within the next two years will construct a new substation «Radiostansiya», as well as rehabilitate and increase the capacity of the substation «Promyshlennaya», located in Dushanbe.
