First Deputy FM of Tajikistan attended the meeting of the SCO-Afghanistan Contact Group in Beijing
DUSHANBE, 29.05.2018 /NIAT «Khovar»/. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Nizomiddin Zohidi on May 28 took part in the meeting of the SCO-Afghanistan Contact Group in Beijing.
According to the MFA Information Department, participants had an exchange of views on the issues of combating challenges and threats to security in the region, assisting Afghanistan’s efforts to restore peace and ensure sustainable economic development.
The parties highly appreciated the activities of the SCO-Afghanistan Contact Group, expressed interest in further deepening cooperation between the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Afghanistan within the framework of this consultative mechanism and proposed to develop a Roadmap for the activities of the contact group to promote cooperation between the SCO and Afghanistan.
