Working visit of the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan
DUSHANBE, 09.06.2018 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan Saymumin Yatimov, leading a working delegation, paid visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and met with Pakistani National Security Advisor Nasser Khan Janjua, Chief of Pakistan Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa and heads of other law enforcement agencies of this country.
During the talks, the parties have discussed the issues to strengthen and expand bilateral fruitful security cooperation, ways to stabilize region’s political and military situation, promoting peace and stability in neighboring Afghanistan, joint struggle against international terrorism and similar phenomena.
Pakistani side stated that it will strengthen fruitful cooperation with military structures and security agencies of Tajikistan in the interests of both countries and the region, depending on new geopolitical phenomena, as well as on real and probable threats.
Common positions of both parties were also expressed on the important aspects of bilateral relations, ensuring the security of major economic projects, including in the field of transport and energy, and regional cooperation.
The talks have taken place in a friendly atmosphere and mutual understanding that will facilitate the development of partnership relations in current and future conditions.
