Sulton Rahimzoda attended the UN General Debates of the High Level Political Forum 2018
DUSHANBE, 19.07.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On 18 July 2018, the First Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulton Rahimzoda participated and addressed the general debates of the High Level Political Forum 2018 on sustainable development.
Presenting the position of the Republic of Tajikistan on the global development agenda, S. Rahimzoda also shared his views on the launch of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028” and the Conference on the above Decade in Dushanbe on 20-22 June 2018.
We will recall that the Forum is the main multilateral mechanism in the UN system for reviewing the implementation of the Agenda for Sustainable Development for the period to 2030 (Agenda 2030). The main objective of the Forum is to promote the exchange of experience and best practices in achieving sustainable development.
