Opening of the first ever three-route flyover in the 82nd mahalla of Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 05.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon accompanied by Dushanbe Chairman Rustami Emomali took part in the opening ceremony of the first ever three-route flyover. Construction of the flyover is part of the Dushanbe-Tursunzoda -Uzbek Border Road Improvement Project.
We will recall that the construction of the flyover was launched on July 22, 2016 by the participation of the Leader of the Nation.
The first ever three-route flyover is located at the intersection between Nusratullo Makhsum and Bobodjon Ghafurov Avenues. At the second level of the flyover, a circular road has been constructed. The bridge is 125 meters long and 24.8 meters wide and is laid from east to west.
The Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon highly appraised the quality of the construction work and ordered relevant government bodies to take under control the process of maintenance of the road, which was built in accordance with world standards.
The project also provided for construction of four underpasses with a total length of 236 meters.
The project has been implemented in cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
The underground cable tunnels spanning 730 m transmit electricity to the 121 posts.
The customer of the facility is the Centre for Road Rehabilitation and Maintenance Project of the Ministry of Transport, and its contractor is the China Xinjiang Beixin Construction & Engineering (Group) Co. Ltd. The quality of construction was controlled by the SAI Consulting Engineers Pvt. Ltd., India.
It should be noted that the effective and high-quality implementation of communication projects, the construction of roads and railways, tunnels and bridges is very important for achieving one of the strategic objectives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, that is, overcoming the communication deadlock.
