President Emomali Rahmon meets Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan
DUSHANBE, 27.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. In the Palace of the Nation, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on the sideline of the session of the CIS Council of Heads of State.
President of our country Emomali Rahmon has welcomed the Prime Minister of Armenia here in Dushanbe for the first time.
The two heads of state discussed developing bilateral trade and economic cooperation in detail, and demonstrated interest in the joint development of mining in textile industry, processing of agricultural products, creation of joint enterprises for processing of precious stones and production of jewelry products, telecommunication technologies, and provision of financial services and energy management.
During the meeting, the expansion of cooperation in the spheres of humanitarian, people-to-people contact, science and education, healthcare and tourism was called important.
The sides exchanged views on the issues of joint struggle against international terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and other threats of the modern world.
Concluding meeting, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, invited the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia to visit Tajikistan on an official visit at any time convenient for him.
