Meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan
The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting began with a report by Economic Development and Trade Minister Nematullo Hikmatullozoda on the results of socio-economic development of Tajikistan in nine months of 2018.
President of the country Emomali Rahmon reviewed the results of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan in nine months of 2018 and outlined the priority tasks to Ministry of Finance, the Tax Committee, the Customs Service and the executive bodies of state authority of cities and districts to take practical measures to ensure the implementation of the state budget plan in 2018, the implementation of strategic goals and sustainable economic development of the country.
Other instructions were given to ministries and government agencies to improve budget transparency, to preserve stability of national currency rate, launching new capacities, to restore operations of the enterprises that are suspended, to provide a venue for producing competitive products, to increase exports of goods, and energy efficiency implementation.
Finance Minister Faiziddin Qahhorzoda reported to meeting participants “On the draft law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Government budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2019” and the forecast of indicators of the Government budget for 2020-2021, as well as “On the Government Program for External debts of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2019 and forecast of indicators for 2020-2021”.
It was emphasized that the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Government Budget” was worked out for the purpose of implementation of socio-economic policy of the Government of Tajikistan toward implementation of the priority objectives, especially the three main areas — achieving energy independence, pulling the country out of communication deadlock and ensuring food security.
The government members also discussed preparations for celebration of the 30th anniversary of state Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The head of the Tourism Development Committee Numon Abdughafforzoda reported to the head of state on the draft law on craftsmanship.
It was noted that the draft law was worked out for the purpose of preserving and developing the cultural heritage, historical traditions of the art of craftsmanship, and creating favorable conditions for the development of handicrafts as well as protect the rights of consumers of handicraft products.
The President of the country Emomali Rahmon ordered to establish folk craft centers in cities and district administrative centers for the purpose of developing craftsmanship. The head of state also ordered to take measures to revive national traditions, develop small and medium-sized enterprises, and promote healthy lifestyle.
For consideration of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan was submitted one final conclusion of the members of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan concerning draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making changes and addenda to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan».
In addition, the members of the Government discussed government’s draft regulations concerning draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making changes and addenda to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan” and “On making changes and addenda to the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan ‘’On Civil Defense”.
Besides, the government members discussed government’s draft regulations on Tajikistan’s commercial missions in foreign countries, the national program on development and application of information and communications technologies in the Republic of Tajikistan designed for 2018-2020 and Food Security Program of the Republic of Tajikistan designed for 2019-2023.
President of the country Emomali Rahmon issued a number of instructions at the end of the meeting addressing sectors’ preparedness for the heating season, harvesting agricultural products.
