Thirteenth Senior Officials Meeting of the «Central Asia plus Japan» Dialogue held in Tokyo
DUSHANBE, 28.11.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On November 26-27, 2018, the Thirteenth Senior Officials Meeting of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue was held in Tokyo. The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan took part as co-chair country headed by First Deputy Foreign Minister Nizomiddin Zohidi.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, the participants exchanged views on topical issues of development of cooperation between the countries in the Dialogue in such sectors as tourism, transport and logistics, agriculture, trade and investment, security and promoting regional cooperation.
During the meeting, the heads of delegations also discussed issues related to the preparation of the upcoming Seventh Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue, which will be held in Dushanbe, as well as progressive steps to promote the Dialogue as a whole.
Within the framework of this SOM, a meeting of the head of delegation of Tajikistan with Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Kenji Yamada was held, during which issues of bilateral and regional cooperation were discussed.
