Tajik Delegation Attended the 6th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum
DUSHANBE, 12.12.2018. (NIAT Khovar) — The sixth China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum was held today in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province in China.
Deputy Prime Minister Azim Ibrohim led the Tajik delegation at the forum.
In his speech, the Tajik minster touched upon the current state and the prospect of the Tajik-Chinese bilateral relations, steps to further strengthening and expanding the comprehensive strategic partnership, implementation of joint projects and events, as well as deepening educational and cultural cooperation.
The Tajik delegation also presented on the investment climate and tourist potential of Tajikistan.
The Yangzhou Initiative, which provides the establishment of cooperation and exchanges in the field of tourism between Yangzhou and Central Asia cities, was approved following the forum. Five Tajik cities, — Dushanbe, Kulob, Khorug, Khujand, and Bokhtar are also among the 20 Central Asian cities.
At the sidelines of the forum, Ibrohim held bilateral meetings with the Secretary-General of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee Wang Chen, as well as with the officials of the Jiangsu province and the city of Yangzhou.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold an exhibition of Tajik folk crafts in April 2019 in Yangzhou. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and the Chamber of Commerce of Yangzhou signed a cooperation agreement.
The Tajik delegation also visited the local leading industrial and innovative technology companies, as well as cultural, historical and tourist sites in Yangzhou.
