DUSHANBE, 29.12.2018 (NIAT Khovar). The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

In the course of the conversation, which took place in a friendly atmosphere characteristic in mutual relationships of both parties, the heads of state exchanged greetings and wished each other a happy New Year — 2019.

The Leader of the Nation wished the friendly people of Russia peace, well-being and further prosperity in the coming year.

The President of Tajikistan expressed his appreciation for Vladimir Putin’s contribution to the development and deepening of the Tajik-Russian strategic partnership and alliance.

It was stated that further purposeful joint work to strengthen them is in the fundamental interests of the peoples of the two countries and is an important factor in regional stability and security.

The sides spoke for maintaining the high dynamics of development of Tajik-Russian interaction across the entire spectrum of cooperation in the future.

The sides exchanged views on a number of topical issues of bilateral and international character of mutual interest.
