Ambassador of Tajikistan to Iraq Meets with Iraqi President
DUSHANBE, 09.01.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Iraq Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda presented his credentials to the President of Iraq Barham Solih Ahmad yesterday in the Salom Palace in Baghdad.
Following the ceremony the Tajik ambassador met with the president of Iraq, reports the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Zubaydzoda on behalf of President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the government and the Tajik people congratulated the Iraqi president and the Iraqi people on defeating the ISIL terrorist organization. The Iraqi president, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the leadership and the people of Tajikistan. He also congratulated the Tajik ambassador on his appointment and asked him to make great effort to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting also focused on expanding cooperation in all areas of vital importance.
Following the meeting, Ahmad asked the Tajik ambassador to convey his message to the president of Tajikistan.
