DUSHANBE, 15.01.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – On January 15, the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) determined the official exchange rate of foreign currencies for accounting and payment of customs duties as follows:

1 USD = 9.4372 TJS,

1 Euro = 10.8254 TJS,

1 Russian ruble = 0.1404 TJS.

Also on January 15, the average selling rate of cash foreign currencies in credit institutions of Tajikistan is:

1 USD – 9.4300 TJS,

1 Euro – from 10.7800 to 10.8300 TJS,

1 Russian ruble – from 0.1395 to 0.1405 TJS.

NBT warns that foreign exchange operations are prohibited outside bank branches, bank service center offices, as well as at ATMs and payment terminals located within the country. Failure to comply with these requirements will be considered a violation of the law and violators could face punitive damages and criminal charges.
