A Man on the Wanted List Surrenders to Authorities Upon Arrival in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 15.02.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Tajikistan states that Gadoev Sharofiddin Mirzoalievich, who is temporarily living in the city of Eindhoven in the Netherlands, voluntarily returned to Tajikistan this morning.
Mirzoalievich was on the wanted list since 2012 for production of forged documents and illicit sales of and dealings with contraband items.
“Gadoev voluntarily surrendered to police at the Dushanbe Airport and stated that he deeply regrets his actions,” reported the foreign ministry. He returned to Tajikistan via Moscow, Russia.
“In accordance with the legislation of Tajikistan, a legal assessment must be given to my acts. I urge other wanted persons to voluntarily return home for the sake of its prosperity,” said Mirzoalievich, according to the ministry’s report.
