Tajikistan Accedes to the Marrakesh Treaty
DUSHANBE, 28.02.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The legal meeting dedicated to the implementation of the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled was held on February 26-28 in Geneva, Switzerland, reported the Tajik Minister of Culture.
Deputy Minister of Culture Muzaffar Davlatzoda and Numon Nabizoda, the head of the Department for Law and Copyright Protection of the given ministry represented Tajikistan.
Davlatzoda presented a document to the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization Francis Gurry regarding Tajikistan’s accession to the Marrakesh Treaty.
Tajikistan is the 53rd state to become a party to the Marrakesh Treaty.
