Signing of a number of laws
DUSHANBE, 05.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon enacted into law a package of bills, which were passed by the Assembly of Representatives and approved by the National Assembly.
President Emomali Rahmon signed the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan On Making Changes and Addenda to the Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “About the Status of the Capital of the Republic of Tajikistan,” “On Self-Governing Bodies of Settlements and Villages,” and “On the Moratorium on Inspections of the Activities of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Engaged in Production,” as well as “On Other Compulsory Payments to the Budget” and the Tax and Customs Codes.
The signed law “About the Status of the Capital of the Republic of Tajikistan” deals with the creation of an emblem of the city of Dushanbe and creation of a capital development fund. Additionally, according to the amendments, the Chairman of Dushanbe will award prizes and awards to residents of the city and other citizens who have made a worthy contribution to the development of the capital.
According to the additions and changes that were made to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Moratorium on Inspections of the Activities of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Engaged in Production,” during the implementation of the moratorium in 2019-2021, all inspections of entrepreneurs engaged in production are suspended.
The amendments to the Tax and Customs Codes of the Republic of Tajikistan exempts the import of raw materials for processing and production of final products from value added-tax and customs duties.
