Tajik-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission Discuss Joint Ventures in Termez
DUSHANBE, 04.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – A meeting of the Tajik-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held yesterday in Termez, Uzbekistan under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, reported the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The topical issues of bilateral cooperation, the tasks set by the top leadership of the two countries to strengthen and develop multifaceted cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in enhancing and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, investment, energy, transportation, communication, culture, humanitarianism, agriculture, water management, tourism, as well as to promote active cooperation between the scientific and business circles of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Both parties agreed to take further coordinated measures to ensure the turnover growth, to work on the creation of joint ventures for the production of light industry goods and in the agroindustry complex, as well as to continue to deepen joint work in the hydropower sector.
Following the meeting, the parties signed the protocol of the Intergovernmental Commission.
