Ashgabat to Host the Upcoming CIS Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia Forum
DUSHANBE, 03.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The 14th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on May 15-16.
More than 200 delegates from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia are expected to attend the forum. The theme of the forum is «Common Humanitarian Space of the Commonwealth: Dialogue in the sphere of Culture, Science, and Education.»
In the plenary sessions and profile sections, scientists, educators and artists will discuss various aspects of professional interaction, new formats of cooperation in education, continuity and innovation in working with young people and the formation of intercultural dialogue. The problems connected to the promotion of books and reading will be the focus of delegates in connection with the ongoing Year of Books in the CIS. The central panel discussion «Turkmenistan — the Heart of the Great Silk Road» will be devoted to the Eurasian cooperation in the humanitarian sphere.
The forum will include the awarding ceremony of the winners of the main CIS intergovernmental award “Zvezdi Sodruzhestva” (Commonwealth Stars).
The forum will be held with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States (IFHC) and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
The Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS Member States is the largest annual humanitarian event in the Commonwealth area, which summarizes humanitarian cooperation over the past year in a multilateral format, discusses plans for joint activities and develops new approaches to the most pressing issues of interaction between the CIS countries.
