President Emomali Rahmon Receives Russian Defense Minister
DUSHANBE, 28.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu.
Key issues concerning the bilateral cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.
President Emomali Rahmon stressed that the further development of the whole range of strategic relations between Tajikistan and Russia is one of the main priorities of Tajikistan’s foreign policy.
The parties discussed issues relating to security, military and military-technical cooperation, as well as the current state and prospects of cooperation between the countries in these areas.
