DUSHANBE, 16.06.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – On June 16, the state visit of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping to Tajikistan has come to an end. The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon saw off President Xi Jinping at Dushanbe International Airport.

The airport was decorated festively in honor of the seeing off of the honored guest.

Before the seeing off ceremony, a warm and sincere meeting of the heads of state — Emomali Rahmon and Xi Jinping — took place in the reception hall.

President Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to Xi Jinping and the official Chinese delegation for their active participation in the Fifth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and the continuation of constructive efforts to deepen friendship relations, cooperation and good neighborliness.

President Xi Jinping, in turn, expressed his gratitude to President Emomali Rahmon for the warm welcome and hospitality of the Tajik people and praised the holding of the Fifth CICA Summit during the presidency of Tajikistan.

“Participation in the international-level Summit and the completion of the state visit to Tajikistan were the best and brightest moments. In Tajikistan, I felt the sincere respect of the head of state and the glorious Tajik people. Humanism, hospitality, and charity are inherent to the Tajik people,” emphasized Xi Jinping with a sense of high satisfaction and gratitude for the friendly and fraternal hospitality of the head of state Emomali Rahmon.

We will recall that on June 14-16, President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping was in Dushanbe on a state visit and to attend the Fifth CICA Summit.

During the successful visit, there were held top-level meeting and talks between Tajikistan and China. The top-level meeting focused on the issues relating to the bilateral cooperation, as well as on relevant regional and international issues.

Following the top-level meeting and talks, in general, 18 important cooperation documents were signed, which will create favorable conditions for the expansion of bilateral cooperation of strategic partnership between Tajikistan and China.
