President Emomali Rahmon Met With the President of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdul Hamid
DUSHANBE, 13.06.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mohammed Abdul Hamid. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on June 13 in the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe.
President Emomali Rahmon stressed that Tajikistan is interested in strengthening ties and bilateral relations with Bangladesh and praised the role of this country in expanding regional cooperation.
The parties expressed their readiness to effectively use the favorable opportunities for cooperation in the interests of countries in the economic, commercial, industrial, tourist, educational spheres and direct investments
It was emphasized that using the rich experience of Bangladesh for the development of industry in Tajikistan, the creation of joint production enterprises and the Council of Entrepreneurs, the signing of new cooperation agreements will be fruitful for both countries.
The parties also discussed issues relating to cooperation and integration of countries in the framework of authoritative international organizations and institutions towards solving global problems and combating modern threats and challenges. They expressed the expediency of a joint struggle against international terrorism and extremism, the signing of an agreement on security cooperation and the creation of a joint working group.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
