President Emomali Rahmon Received Vietnamese Vice President in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 15.06.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Vice President of the Republic of Vietnam Ms. Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh. The meeting took place today in the Palace of the Nation on the sidelines of the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Dushanbe.
The meeting focused on issues relating to bilateral cooperation.
President Emomali Rahmon stressed that Tajikistan is interested in developing and deepening cooperation with Vietnam.
The parties paid special attention to the strengthening of political relations, the development and implementation of cooperation agreements, the establishment of a joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, exchange of experience in tax and customs matters.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
