DUSHANBE, 08.07.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected Latvian President Egils Levits.
The message reads in part:

It is with great pleasure that I cordially congratulate you on your election as President of the Republic of Latvia and the beginning of your activity at this high post.
I wish you good health, happiness and success in carrying out the tasks before you, and to the friendly people of Latvia — peace, stability and sustainable prosperity.
Taking this opportunity, I express the hope that the relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Latvia will continue to develop and expand in accordance with the interests of our peoples.”
