President Emomali Rahmon Opens New Schools and Water Park in Capital
DUSHANBE, 30.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 30, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who was accompanied by Dushanbe Chairman Rustam Emomali, opened a new modern building which will house the Dushanbe Lyceum No. 3 for Gifted Students.
The school was built with the financial support of the city of Dushanbe within the framework of preparations for the 30th anniversary of state independence.
The school will accommodate 1,200 students in one shift. Its construction had began on May, 2018.
Following the opening ceremony, President Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the students, teachers and other workers in the spacious assembly hall of the school and congratulated them with the upcoming 28th anniversary of state independence and the new academic year.
During his speech, President Emomali Rahmon advised students and teachers to make proper use of the new learning environment.
This was followed by an opening ceremony for the Dushanbe Social Medical College LLC.
The college was built within four years with the financial support of the state enterprise Entrepreneurship Support Fund under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, local entrepreneurs and contributions of the institution fund.
The seven story building has 75 classrooms and will accommodate 1,200 students in one shift. It has seven faculties, including nursing, pharmaceuticals, dentistry, cosmetology, gynecology and rehabilitation work.
In the academic year 2017-2018, the college had 197 graduates, with 319 graduates the following year. Presently 912 students are enrolled in the college.
During the opening ceremony, President Emomali Rahmon held a conversation with the students and teachers.
This was followed by the opening ceremony for the new building of the Secondary Educational Institution No. 96 .The four story building will accommodate 1, 488 students in two shifts.
Following his acquaintance with conditions created at this institution, President Emomali Rahmon delivered his remarks before teachers, students and educational workers and congratulated them with the opening of a new educational institution, urging school children to master their subjects and learn foreign languages.
More schools are planned to be built in Dushanbe, which will eventually solve the shortage in the future.
Closing his tour, accompanied by Dushanbe Chairman Rustami Emomali, President Emomali Rahmon put into operation the Recreation, Entertainment and Tourism Center – Lake of Dushanbe after its renovation.
Its renewal took two years. On November 9, 2017, President Emomali Rahmon and Dushanbe Chairman Rustami Emomali got acquainted with the reconstruction projects of Varzob Lake and laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the Recreation, Entertainment and Tourism Center — Lake of Dushanbe.
The area cans accommodate up to 5,000 people daily. The center is equipped with catamarans, jet skis, flyboards and storyboards.
A zoo has been built in the northwestern part of the center, which contains more than 50 species of various rare animals.
In another part of the center stands the largest water park in Central Asia. The water park has more than 16 types of water attractions, which were imported from Turkey.
Following the inspection of the center, President Emomali Rahmon gave his assessment to the initiative of the leadership of the Executive Body of the State Authority of Dushanbe and expressed gratitude to entrepreneurs for their support of the leadership of the state and government policies.
