Tajik Arts and Folk Crafts Were Presented in Dubai
DUSHANBE, 28.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – An exhibition of Tajik arts and folk crafts was organized on August 25-28 in the building of the Association of Science and Culture of Dubai.
The event was initiated by the Embassy of Tajikistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Consulate General of Tajikistan in Dubai together with the Atelier Lantana Center within the framework of the announced years of rural development, tourism and folk crafts, reports the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event was attended by tourists, local residents, representatives of diplomatic corps and cultural figures of the UAE.
The exhibition featured the work of Tajik artists, stone products, chakan (type of Tajik dress), suzani (embroidered bedspread, cloak or wall decoration) and other works of craftsmen and artisans of Tajikistan.
