Emomali Rahmon Attends Plenary Session of People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan
Today in Dushanbe, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan, the Chairman of Tajikistan’s People’s Democratic Party Emomali Rahmon addressed the plenary session of the Central Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan.
The session serves as a discussion venue, where the participants go over the key items on the party’s agenda and sum up the results of the past nine month and set tasks for the future.
Organizational and preparation works for the party’s election campaign program and the upcoming 13th Congress of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan were the focus of the meeting.
During his speech, President Emomali Rahmon stressed that the party as the brainchild of independence is rooted in the aspirations of the people. Its main goal is to protect the interests of the people and the well-being and improvement of the country. He noted that most of the people who worked on launching of the hydro units of the Rogun HPP on the day of the celebration of the 28th anniversary of independence are active members of the party, who have been duly accorded with state awards.
As was noted by President Emomali Rahmon, “the Rogun Hydropower Plant is a significant factor in the country’s socio-economic development and improving the well-being of the people that is the bright future of our beloved Tajikistan.” Therefore, the most important task of party’s members is to propagate the basic ideas of Tajik statehood among the people and fulfills the party’s goals and objectives with high responsibility.
The Supreme Assembly as well as the local elections, and the inclusion of qualified candidates for the were deemed as priorities.
“Of course, there are many such people in the ranks of the party. We must choose the best to serve for the next five years, so that we can implement the lawmaking process that will contribute to the development of our beloved and independent Tajikistan,” emphasized President Emomali Rahmon.
He went to note that the task of the party as a political structure is to be prepared to conduct this important political event within the framework of the law, openly and transparently, in accordance with democratic norms.
The party’s standing in the community is clear, but efforts should be made to meet the needs of the population, especially concerning the food supply, stabilization of prices and heating and lighting, he added.
