DUSHANBE, 10.09.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Following the completion of his working visit in the Muminobod district of Khatlon Province, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in the Vose district, where he laid a foundation stone for the project of reconstruction and rehabilitation of Vose — Hulbuk-Temurmalik-Kangurt Highway and held a meeting with the locals.

The two-lane 60 km highway will be reconstructed with the contribution of the government and the Asian Development Bank.

Following the foundation stone laying ceremony,  President Emomali Rahmon met with the locals and emphased that dozens of socio-economic facilities are being commissioned throughout the country, which is due to the efforts of the government, central and local authorities, hardworking entrepreneurs and generous people who are working furthering the prosperity the country.

Break in the communication deadlock is one of the strategic goals of the government and up to date over 2,800 km of roads, five tunnels and 405 bridges have been reconstructed and renovated.

Six state investment projects worth over 3 billion somoni are being implemented in Khatlon to renovate 316 km of roads and 25 bridges.
More than 200 million somoni will be spent for the reconstruction of the Vose-Hulbuk-Temurmalik- Kangurt road.

President Emomali Rahmon noted that the completion of the project will allow Vose and Temurmalik residence to easily move to other regions of the country, access international routes, and export agricultural products to local markets, including to Dushanbe, Kulob and Bokhtar.

He also noted that the executive body of state authority of Khatlon needs to take effective measures to create the necessary infrastructure for the attraction of tourists and creation of favorable conditions for tourism development through this road.

In order to celebrate the 30 anniversary of state independence, more than 230 facilities are under construction in the Vose district and 270 projects are planned in the Temurmalik district.

President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the timely implementation of these measures will contribute to the implementation of the constructive goals of the government toward improving the standard of living of the people.
