Manuel Sager: Switzerland Considers Tajikistan a Reliable Partner for More Than 20 Years
DUSHANBE, 06.09.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, following the meeting with President Emomali Rahmon, the Director General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Manuel Sager briefed journalists in Dushanbe.
“Switzerland has been a reliable partner of Tajikistan for the past 20 years,” said Sager.
“During the meeting with the President, we had a conversation about the long-standing friendship between the two states. President Emomali Rahmon expressed the gratitude of the Tajik people toward the Swiss Republic for their support over the past 20 years,” noted Sager.
“We talked with His Excellency Emomali Rahmon about the problems of water supply and sanitation, the reduction of natural disasters, and especially about issues related to climate change problems that are relevant today, both for Tajikistan and for the Swiss Republic,” added he.
According to Sager, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Tajikistan has been helping GBAO for many years to implement projects in the field of providing the population with electricity and drinking water.
“I am satisfied with the warm, sincere welcome and hospitality at the highest level of the Tajik people and I express gratitude to them,” stated Sager.
