President Emomali Rahmon Meets with Military Personnel of Rear Service
DUSHANBE, 17.10.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Following the inspection of the facilities in the logistics base of the Border Troops the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with military personnel of Rear Service as well as the heads of military structures and law enforcement agencies.
In his speech President Emomali Rahmon spoke about the achievements and shortcomings of the military and noted that the difficult conditions of the modern world require the Armed Forces to be in constant combat readiness. For this reason, providing soldiers and officers of the Armed Forces with modern weapons and combat equipment, uniforms, food, fuel, and other materials is of particular importance.
The government intends to take all necessary measures and provide the necessary material support for the military personnel.
During his speech, President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the Rear Services is an important structure of the Armed Forces and its main goal is the timely provision of military units with fuel, food, equipment, ammunition, spare parts and machinery. As a result of the proper establishment of work in this direction, the level of support of the Armed Forces is constantly improving, and favorable conditions for service are being created for soldiers and officers.
To provide soldiers and officers with clothes and footwear made domestically, sewing workshops operate at the Ministry of Defense and the agency for the provision of special property, which helps to provide jobs for members of military families and meet the needs of the Armed Forces. Subsidiary farms have also been created to provide military units with agricultural products, which play an important role in providing soldiers with vegetables, fruits, milk and meat.
President Emomali Rahmon expressed gratitude to the leaders of the security forces for the organization of the workshops, instructed them to strengthen their work in this direction and drew their attention to the necessity of using budgetary funds efficiently, improving the storage of goods and products, preventing economic crimes and corruption.
