President Emomali Rahmon Receives Foreign Ambassadors’ Credentials
DUSHANBE, 20.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received letters of credence from foreign ambassadors. The ceremony took place in the Palace of the Nation on November 20.
The following 11 newly-appointed ambassadors presented their credentials and conveyed their greetings of their state heads. Among them were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany Andreas Protmann, Takayuki Miyashita of Japan, Andre Carstens from the Netherlands, João Paulo Lopes do Reg Viseu Pinheiro of the Portugal, Gintautas Vasiulis of Lithuania, Andreas Zinosos of Cyprus, Russ Jalichandra of Thailand, Abdulkadir Ibrahim from Bahrain, Guzal Azam Sarkor representing Bangladesh, and Salou Adama Gazibo from Niger.
President Emomali Rahmon congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors on the commencement of their new post in Tajikistan and expressed confidence that the ambassadors through their fruitful diplomatic activities will be able to promote the deepening of the multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and the states that they represent.
President Emomali Rahmon underlined that one of the aspects of Tajikistan’s foreign policy is aimed at providing the most favorable conditions for solving large-scale socio-economic programs and addressing sustainable improvement of living standards.
In this context, the government of Tajikistan is always interested in the development and expansion of win-win socio-economic, cultural and people-to-people cooperation with all friends and reliable partners.
President Emomali Rahmon also spoke about the development and strengthening of friendly relations and multidimensional cooperation of Tajikistan with the European Union, Baltic and Southeast Asia nations, the Arab world and countries in the African continent and expressed hope that the newly appointed ambassadors’ activities in Tajikistan will be productive toward the implementation of sustainable development goals.
