DUSHANBE, 30.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a telephone conversation with the President of Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov.

The heads of state exchanged warm New Year greetings and wished well being for the peoples of the two countries.

Emomali Rahmon and Jeenbekov also called for further positive development of Tajik-Kyrgyz relations, noting certain positive steps taken toward this direction.

President Emomali Rahmon noted that that the Tajik side intends to continue to make the necessary effort to enrich the Tajik-Kyrgyz good neighborly relations with new practical steps in accordance with the long-term interests of the two fraternal people.

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on pressing issues of the regional and international agenda.
