Chinese University Students Are Learning Tajik
DUSHANBE, 24.01.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Ambassador of China to Tajikistan Liu Bin held a press conference for media representatives.
“At Chinese universities such as Beijing University of Foreign Languages, Shanghai University of Foreign Languages and Beijing National University, students are successfully learn Tajik language,” Bin said.
While touching upon humanitarian cooperation, Bin noted that 3,500 Tajik citizens are currently training in China.
“According to my observations, the Chinese language is also very popular among Tajiks,” he noted.
The Chinese ambassador also added that the relationship between the two countries has improved significantly in recent years.
“The trade turnover between China and Tajikistan has increased from $2,75 million in 1992 to $660 million last year,” Bin stated.
According to him, China has invested $210 million in the Tajik economy in 2019.
The Chinese cultural center in Dushanbe and the Tajik cultural center in Beijing will be opened in the near future. Negotiations are currently underway,” Bin said.
