Tajik Permanent Representative Attends the UN Security Council Open Debate
DUSHANBE, 13.01.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov addressed the UN Security Council open debate on upholding the UN Charter to maintain international peace and security.
In his statement, Ambassador Mahmadaminov expressed the position of Tajikistan on the current threats and challenges, called upon all parties concerned to maximize their efforts for a peaceful settlement of the current conflicts in different parts of the world, in particular in the Middle East, reported the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
While citing the need for coordinated action and strengthening regional cooperation of UN member states, Mahmadaminov emphasized the fundamental significance of the norms and principles of the UN Charter in international relations.
